Oaxapampa

Oaxapampa is a lowland town in central Peru, but nearby there is some very interesting cloud forest. Although most species are fairly widespread, the distinct local race of Chestnut Antpitta and Cloud-forest Screech-Owl are of particular interest.

This site can be reached in a day from the Carpish area, or half a day from Lake Junin or Satipo.
