Lima Pelagics

The Humboldt Current off Lima has recently been found to be one of the world's most exciting areas for pelagic birding. A recent July trip recorded four species of albatrosses (plus one possible additional species) while a September trip found six storm-petrels, including three Data-Deficient species and one threatened and two first Peru records. A list of species recorded on two trips in 2001 is below.

Planned Outings for 2003 are July and September, but we are keen to make as many trips as possible, so let us know if you are interested in other dates.
