This site in extreme SE Peru
is home to the little-known Green-capped Tanager, but there is a
lot more to find. The whole area, in fact, is poorly known. Birding Peru
will be exploring the birding in the near future; check back for news.
Possibilities include Scimitar-winged Piha, Hooded
Mountain-Toucan, Buff-banded Tyrannulet and Hazel-fronted
Pygmy-Tyrant, while in the higher areas of the road leading to Sandia
we may find Scribble-tailed Canastero or Short-tailed Finch. |
